A house with history
The history of today's Hotel Angerburg goes back many centuries. According to the historical accounts passed down through the generations, the building was constructed in 1608 as an aristocratic residence. Parts of the estate are believed to date back as far as the 13th century.
The historic farm estate was once associated with the Counts of Mockowitz, whose origins are linked to the present-day town of Węgorzewo in Poland, formerly known as Angerburg.
Over the centuries, the estate has been altered and developed several times. The historic building eventually became today's Hotel Angerburg, while retaining its distinctive character and connection to the history of the region.
A tradition that lives on
Today, historic elements, South Tyrolean tradition and modern comfort come together at Hotel Angerburg.
Since 2013, Roman and Luca have been running the hotel, combining personal hospitality with a commitment to preserving the unique character of the house while continuing to develop it for modern travellers.
